Lake Harriet Veterinary is the best. They are always caring and attentive, and I know my cat is in good hands with them. I’ve recommended them to friends whose cat needed dental surgery, and they were also so happy with the treatment of their fur baby (and extremely reasonable prices for a big surgery) that they’re his new vet too. Thanks for everything!

From the cheery welcome at the front desk, to the vet tech's then onto the Vet themselves...always professional and caring. Jazz and Griffin love the treats too!

We have been at Lake Harriet for about 15 years and could not speak more highly of them. We live in the northern suburbs and make the drive because the quality of care is incredible. The doctors always hear our concerns when it comes to medication or cost. They work hard to make sure we can give our animals the best care without compromising our preferences. They always explain exactly why they're making certain recommendations. Dr Jen is who I'd consider our "primary" but we've also seen Dr Laura and Dr Sarah often. All the doctors are amazing. The front desk team is also so kind and considerate and get to know all the animals that come through. When we lost our first dog, they were beyond compassionate and supportive.

We have been going to Lake Harriet Vet and seeing Dr. Helga since February. Dr. Helga and all of the other staff are so kind and take such good care of our pups. We have had nothing but great experiences and know that our dogs are in good hands.

We just moved out of town and wish more than anything that we could take LHV with us. For over 20 years, 2 cats, and 3 dogs, they have endured our helicoptering pet guardianship, and more importantly, taken great care of our pets from puppy-hood to the rainbow bridge. They do veterinary care, yes, but what they really do is relationships--with people and animals--and that includes working things out, finding options, being responsive, and listening. 💜

Everyone is always friendly and kind to the owners and their pets. I trust their expertise as well. At our first visit to the clinic, we were greeted by the front desk staff exclaiming they had been waiting all day to meet our new puppy. It was really sweet and heartwarming to be welcomed in that way.

We love Lake Harriet!!! All of the staff are so friendly, helpful, and compassionate! We have two cats and two dogs - one of which is reactive, and they are VERY accommodating for her, which is huge as she gets VERY NERVOUS, SCARED, and REACTIVE at the vet. I've also called or emailed with questions many times and they are always happy to answer them and give guidance and advice. Though they have many wonderful doctors on their team, we really, really love Dr. Jen! The way she gets down on the floor with our critters and meets them where that at is amazing! She also remembers both us and each of our animals and their history. You can feel her love and passion for them! We feel very seen not just as patients, but as people/a family! Thank you so much!

After bringing our pets to our old vet for 20+ years, we left when we began experiencing skyrocketing prices, unnecessary blood work and tests being prescribed, and poor customer service. We then started seeing Dr. Sarah Wineke at Lake Harriet Veterinary and my only regret is that we didn't make the change sooner! Dr. Sarah is so knowledgeable, patient, and kind; you can tell that she and her staff truly love caring for animals. One thing in particular that I appreciate about Dr. Sarah is that as she's examining our pets, she'll explain to me what she's checking for. As someone who likes to know "how things work", this is so helpful to me! There are many vets much closer to our house, but I gladly drive to Lake Harriet Vet to see Dr. Sarah and her staff at Lake Harriet Veterinary.
